CTET FEB 2017 Eligibility

All the candidates who are willing to appear in the CTET FEB 2017 Exam must meet the following minimum educational qualification eligibility criteria.

CTET FEB 2017 – Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming
Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage)
CTET FEB 2017 – Minimum Educational Qualification for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage)
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary
Education (by whatever name was known).OR
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary
Education (by whatever name was known).OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name was known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in
Education (B.Ed).OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).OR Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in
Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure)
Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing
in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).ORSenior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing
in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed.OR
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary
Education (by whatever name was known).
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special
Education)*.
Note: (i) Relaxation

Note: Up to 5% relaxation in the qualifying marks in the minimum educational Qualification for eligibility to apply shall be allowed to all the candidates belonging to reserved categories. (SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled)


Important Information Related CTET FEB 2017 Eligibility

  • All the candidates must check if they are meeting the eligibility criteria for appearing in the CTET FEB 2017. If they are meeting the minimum eligibility criteria then he/she is not eligible for appearing in CTET FEB 2017 Examination. It is also to be noted that if a candidate has been allowed to appear in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test it does not imply that the candidate’s eligibility has been verified successfully. It does not vest any right with the candidate for appointment. The eligibility shall be finally verified, by the concerned recruiting agency/ appointing authority
  • Diploma or Degree Course in Teacher Education: -The purposes of this Notification, a Diploma or Degree course in teacher education recognised by the (NCTE) National Council for Teacher Education only shall be considered. However, in the case of Diploma in Education (a Special Education) and B.ED (a Special Education), a course recognised by the RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) only shall be considered.
  • Those candidates who do not have any of the above qualification shall not be eligible for appearing in CTET FEB 2017.
  • Candidates who are appearing in the final year of Bachelor Degree in Education or Diploma in Elementary Education etc. are provisionally admitted and their CTET Certificate shall be valid only on passing the aforesaid Examinations, before the declaration of the CTET FEB 2017 Result.
